Schooltime® Shampoo for Head Lice & NIT Removal — 30 Minute Application
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Shampoo Directions to REMOVE head Lice
- 1Take a few seconds to read all these directions before beginning. DO NOT WET YOUR HAIR! If you wet your hair first and then read the directions and discover that you shouldn’t have, you’ll have to wait until you dry it to continue!
- 2Be sure hair is dry (as mentioned above) before continuing to follow these instructions; if you apply to wet hair there may be sections of hair follicles that are not coated, allowing smart, fast lice to get to them and hold on to avoid being rinsed down the drain.
- 3IN COLD WEATHER to avoid clumping due to high coconut oil content, be sure the shampoo is at room temperature, or the bottle warmed slightly under hot water (unless you live in an igloo). Note that future batches are being modified to avoid this extra step.
- 4Shake well before use;
- 5Apply generously to DRY hair;
- 6Massage into hair and scalp being sure all surfaces are covered without leaving dry spots;
- 7Leave on for 30 minutes;
- 8Moisten your hands and re-massage the product through the hair and rinse well with water;
- 9May apply conditioner or Schooltime® Spray Away for easy nit combing.
*TIP: VERY EFFECTIVE AS A COMBING AID and for NIT CHECKS Combing
While a residue of shampoo remains in the hair or a small amount of Schooltime Shampoo or Schooltime Spray Away is applied as a combing aid. The comb will easily glide through the hair. Rinse hair after combing.
Shampoo Directions to MAINTAIN Lice Free Hair
Schooltime® Shampoo for Prevention & Maintenance Use:
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- 1Apply to wet hair (unlike use to remove lice which is done on dry hair);
- 2Use a Small amount of Schooltime® Shampoo 2 X Per Week in place of a regular family shampoo;
- 3Work through hair thoroughly;
- 4Wait 2-3 Minutes Before Rinsing.
Spray Directions for After Shampoo
Schooltime® Spray Away Use
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- 1Shake before use;
- 2After a lice treatment use a light spray on Dry OR Wet Hair
- 3Paying close attention to the nape of the neck and behind the ears.
- 4For nit combing, spray each section of hair before combing with a Nit Comb.
- 5Can be used as often as desired.
Comb Directions for After Shampoo
Schooltime® Lice Comb Use Directions CHECKING FOR LICE AFTER SHAMPOO:
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- 1Using the Schooltime® NIT COMB, Part the Hair into Small Manageable Sections.
- 2Comb each Section From the Root Area in ONE Sweep to the Ends of the Hair.
- 3Wipe Off the Comb With a Damp Paper Towel and Repeat the Process Until Each Hair Section is Free of Lice and Nits.
- 4Upon Completion, Give One Quick Comb-out Throughout the Entire Head and Thoroughly Rinse.
Comb Directions Pre-Check for Lice
Combing Instructions: When Checking for the Presence OF Lice & NITS in the Hair (NIT Checks)
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- 1Sit at a Table and Place Down a White Towel, Sheet of White Paper or Several Sections of White Paper Towels.
- 2While Leaning Forward Over the Towel, Use the Schooltime® Lice Comb and Comb Through Sections of Wet or Dry Hair from BACK to FRONT Starting at the Scalp Continuing Through the Tips of the Hair.
- 3After each Section is Combed Check for the Presence of Lice or Eggs in the Comb or On the White Surface. If Lice or Eggs are Present Stop Combing and Follow Up with an Application of Schooltime® Shampoo as Directed*
Questions about using favorite hair conditioners or other products after using Schooltime® Shampoo?
Schooltime® Shampoo will leave hair shiny and elegant after the final rinse from a 15 minute application on dry hair or maintenance use on wet hair. Be certain to follow the above directions carefully. Once completed, a conditioner of your choice can be used (if desired).
